IPCamBruter Installation Guide

INSTALLATION GUIDE

The IPCamBruter program is designed for testing the security of IP cameras.
However, antivirus solutions may classify it as potentially dangerous because it uses login and password brute-force methods to check device protection.
Despite its legitimate purpose, the program’s actions may mistakenly be identified by antivirus software as malicious, since password brute-forcing outwardly resembles attacker techniques.

## Preparation for Installation :

1. Disabling Tamper Protection in Windows

Before starting the installation, you must manually disable Tamper Protection.

This feature protects Microsoft Defender from changes, so without disabling it, the following installation steps will not work.

To do this :
– Open "Windows Security"
– Go to "Virus & threat protection"
– Find the "Tamper Protection" option and set it to "Off"
– Restart your computer

2. Disabling Microsoft Defender and other antivirus solutions
For proper installation, you must temporarily disable Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials.
Otherwise, the IPCamBruter.exe file may be deleted.

In the program archive, inside the folder Tools for disabling Windows protection, you will find utilities for conveniently disabling Windows security features:
   - Defender Control
   - Defender Remover

Read the included instructions and use them to completely disable Microsoft Defender.

## Step-by-Step Installation of IPCamBruter :

1. In the extracted program archive, open the folder Tools for disabling Windows protection.
2. Go to the Defender Control folder and extract the archive Defender Control.rar (password: sordum).
3. Run dControl.exe as Administrator.
4. In the opened window, click Disable Windows Defender and then close the program.
5. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
6. Run the installer IPCamBruter v3.4.3 Installer.exe as Administrator.
7. In the installer window, follow these steps:
   Next → I Agree → Next → Install.
8. During installation, a program shortcut will appear on the desktop, and in the installer window you will see a checkbox labeled "Launch IPCamBruter".

   ***************************************************
   Do not uncheck this box!
Otherwise, the required components will not be installed,
and many program functions will not work.

   ***************************************************

9. Click Finish — a CMD window will open, showing the installation of required components (Microsoft Visual C++ and others).
10. After that, the Npcap-1.83 installer will open. Follow the prompts to install the driver.

   Note:
If the Npcap-1.83 driver is already installed, the following message will appear:

   ***************************************************
Npcap 1.83 is already installed. Reinstall (possibly with different options)?
   ***************************************************

If reinstallation is not required, click Cancel.

11. After installing Npcap-1.83, Python 3.6.8 with the required libraries will be installed automatically.
12. Installation complete! The IPCamBruter v3.4.3.1784 program will launch and be ready for use.

## Additional: if Defender deletes IPCamBruter.exe :

If Windows Defender blocks the installation, use the Defender Remover utility:

1. Open the Tools for disabling Windows protection folder in the archive.
2. Go to the Defender Remover folder and extract the archive Defender_Remover.rar (password: sordum).
3. Run DefenderRemover.exe as Administrator.
4. Type the letter R and press Enter — a system restore point will be created.
5. Type the letter Y and press Enter — Microsoft Defender and its components will be removed.
6. Restart your computer. Changes will only take effect after reboot.
7. Try installing IPCamBruter again.
